As a result, the team cut the 34-year-old WR. Although the cause of Brown’s abrupt departure stayed unknown, Jay Glazer of FOX Sports claimed the receiver declined to enter the contest when Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians requested. On Monday, Arians refuted a claim made by NFL Network that Brown had informed him of an injury.
When asked about this on his weekly podcast, ‘Let’s Go!’, Tom Brady opened up about the effect mental health has on people. He not only let out his support for the troubled WR. But also explained how the conversation around mental health is only improving. Tampa Tom said, “It’s a very difficult situation that everyone’s dealing with and it’s shown itself obviously in this example yesterday (Sunday) but it’s shown itself in the Olympics with Simone Biles and she came out and she spoke quite a bit about it. It’s definitely more prevalent than we used to think, you know.” Also, he talked about how one cannot assume what is transpiring in someone’s life. He cares about his fellow athletes.

Biles announced she would step back from four events because she did not feel mentally stable. Many criticized her for taking a break even though she won a bronze medal in the balance beam category. TB12 supported her fully.
Brady said, “I think there are so many young people in sports… Simone’s really young. I’m 44. When I was 24, I certainly didn’t have all the answers to all the different pressures and the adversities that you face. I don’t know if we have expectations for people that we should have all the answers, have all things figured out at young ages.”
