The San Francisco 49ers did not have the sparkling open with a new QB1. It left the Red and Gold fans unimpressed after Trey Lance failed to clutch the ignition. The franchise fell hard at the hands of the season opener. After the dismal performance, a viral video featuring Lance showed up. Colin Cowherd gets furious and harshly vilifies the passer on his broadcast.
The 49ers began a new era under Trey Lance and now have Jimmy Garoppolo as a fallback. But the new QB1 is now getting all sorts of hate after his Week 1 performance. The franchise crashed and burnt at the hands of the Bears in a rainy showdown. But Colin Cowherd looks more disappointed over the viral video.

The NFL analyst critiqued, “Trey Lance, awful in Game 1 as a touchdown favourite, gagging to the Bears, can’t complete 50 percent of his throws, making it rain at a strip club. It’s not the NBA, man. Got to hit home games, got to win them. Especially when you have a Super Bowl roster. It’s not the end of the world, of course. Nor was Jimmy [Garoppolo] being caught with a porn star having dinner.”

To add some context, A video surfed on the internet that featured Lance. The QB is partying in what appears to be a strip club. Inevitably, the timeliness of the footage has left many wondering if he can lead the squad.
It is indeed worthy to note that Trey Lance was linked to Colin Cowherd’s daughter, Liv Cowherd. However, it was never official if they were dating or not.
Trey Lance may face more trouble
The readers are mistaken if they think the viral video and Cowherd lashing at him would be enough. In fact, some sources suggest that Kyle Shanahan’s dedication to Trey Lance could be fading. The 49ers could take some action if Trey Lance failed to perform well in the upcoming game.

As per KNBR, If the Niners lose to the Seahawks in Week 2, the franchise could replace the quarterback. Reports expect Jimmy Garoppolo to start against the Broncos’ defense in the Week 3 matchup. If San Francisco loses in the Week 2 home game, it could be a drastic fall for Trey Lance. He is already under fire for the season opener loss and the viral video. If they fail in the second game, the consequences could be far-reaching.
