The Philadelphia Eagles came out of the Super Bowl on the losing end. They had a tough battle, but one call ended it all for their second Lombardi lift. Several may contend that Jalen Hurts was truly deserving of the NFL MVP accolades. However, if rumors are true, Hurts could land a lucrative contract. However, a radio host does not seem content with it.

Jalen Hurts’ breakout season might call for a contract extension. To say the least, he had a surreal performance. Hurts’ value skyrocketed to an average salary of $44.2M, with a 6-year, $265,373,424 extension. But not too many look happy with the QB1 having such a value.

Is Dan Sileo upset with Eagles QB1’s increased value?

Radio host Dan Sileo does not look content with the Eagles’ QB1 getting in what he said is a $258 Million extension. He mentioned, “Not me. I am not paying Jalen Hurts for six years. Absolutely not. Not happening… I don’t care if you want to make him the highest-paid guy in the league. You want to pay him 50, you want to pay him 51. You want to pay him 52, good. But I’m not giving him six years. I am not tying up the roster for six years on a dual-threat guy who I’m not sure is going to even play 17 games.”

As of now, Jalen Hurts receiving a large sum of money may appear to be a much-needed move. The QB1 ascended into glory in his second season as a starter and took the franchise on its second Super Bowl trip. Hurts would remain one of the league’s top quarterbacks despite losing the game.

It might be time for the quarterback to talk money with the franchise front, just like Lamar Jackson did with the Ravens. But Hurts has an aim that is nowhere close to that.

Jalen Hurts is aiming to clinch sweeps

It is about time for Jalen Hurts to grab the big sack of cash after signing a contract extension. However, while responding to the reporters about a new deal, the quarterback has different goals in mind.

The Eagles’ QB1 responded to the contract speculation by saying that his only goal is to win games and be on the world championship page again. The QB added that they would have the ‘talks’, but it was not the right time to do so.

There are chances that Hurts would accept a cap-friendly deal to support the team. However, any updates to it would be subject to scrutiny.
