Jameis Winston Injury Update: New Video Offers Insight into QB’s Return

Good news propels around the New Orleans Saints fans, as injured quarterback Jameis Winston was seen in a recent clip preparing for a takeoff. In the clip shared by sports trainer and physical therapist Kevin Wilk on social media, the quarterback was seen throwing footballs for the first time since his injury.
Dr. Wilk has documented several stages of the star quarterback’s injury. But his latest clip showed that the athlete is conquering his rehabilitation program and sharp as ever before. The quarterback seems to be ahead of his schedule and will be hitting the field pretty soon.

“Jameis Winston of the New Orleans Saints is doing a few throws to keep his throwing mechanics sound!” Wilks captioned the clip. “Jameis is looking great and progressing extremely well in his recovery following knee surgery… He’s ahead of schedule and we have to hold him back at times!”

Winston had his ACL torn and MCL damaged on his left knee during his Week 7 matchup against the defending champions Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And unfortunately, he has not made an appearance since. Winston went through surgery in mid-November, and since then, he has been on rigorous rehabilitation.
