Janoris Jenkins Believes He Was the ‘Missing Piece’ for Tennessee Titans

Janoris Jenkins has a new team. After spending the last 2 seasons with the New Orleans Saints, Jenkins signed a multi-year contract with the Tennessee Titans.

The former Pro-Bowl player will try to help the franchise sort out some of their defensive problems, despite them holding one of the best records in the NFL last year. What’s more, Jenkins is confident about his upcoming stint with the Titans.

Janoris Jenkins spoke to the Tennessee Titans website after signing with the franchise. He believes that he is the missing piece for the Titans to find more success in the future.

Jenkins added that the Titans have an excellent running game and solid coaching in the form of Mike Vrabel and his crew. But Jenkins is ready to help the Titans ascend to the next level.

“I feel like I was a missing piece. They’ve got the run game, they’ve got a front. They’ve got the great coaching. So I just felt like if I could come here, I could help out a lot.”

Janoris Jenkins- Still a valuable piece

Jenkins was a valuable piece for the New Orleans Saints last year. The Saints had a Top-5 defense last season, and Jenkins provided valuable veteran experience, despite being 31 years of age at the time.

With Jenkins in the defensive unit, the Saints were able to reach the 2nd round of the Playoffs, only to fall to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

While Jenkins is no longer in his prime, he could be of great value to the Tennessee Titans. A former Pro-Bowl player, he can bring valuable experience to their defensive unit.

Despite their solid season last year, the Titans did struggle defensively. Jenkins had a total of 55 tackles last year, replicating some form and promise he showed early in his career.

Can the Tennessee Titans find success with Jenkins? As an experienced defender, he can help lead the defensive unit from the back and ensure that they get more stops during the game.

However, if the Titans want to plug further holes in their defense, they must go out and make further signings and acquisitions, as it would be crucial to any success they find next year.
