In poetic fashion, brother went against brother in an ultimate showdown. Historically, sibling rivalry has not always produced the best outcome. In the most biblical sense, when the first brothers went head-to-head, it resulted in cold-blooded murder. But at State Farm Stadium, millions worldwide watched misty-eyed as Jason and Travis Kelce embraced each other. Resentment was nowhere in sight.

While the Super Bowl game in itself is always highly anticipated, this year the feeling was notched a step higher. Two brothers, on opposing sides, were fighting for the ultimate prize. While the occurrence of such a circumstance is rare, the fact that the Kelce brothers are one of the most popular duos in the league made this faceoff all the more exciting. ‘The Kelce Bowl,’ did not disappoint fans. Unfortunately, the same couldn’t be said for one of the brothers. While Chiefs TE Travis Kelce swaggered around, trophy in hand, Jason Kelce and the Eagles hung their heads in disappointment. Despite tasting the most bitter of defeats, the older Kelce brother was able to find humor in the situation. Here’s a look at what happened.

In the opening statements of the podcast, while stating they had a lot to discuss in light of Super Bowl LVII, the Eagles center alluded to the rigging theory.

He said, “We’ve got one thing to talk about Trav [Travis Kelce], and that is the NFL script writers finally letting down the Philadelphia Eagles.” Quite obviously said in jest, the Kelces proceeded to discuss the game and their experience.
