Jaylen Waddle Sparks Competitive Spirit Between Him and New Teammate Tyreek Hill: “We’re For Sure Going to Race”

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle was full of praise and admiration for his new teammate and wide receiver Tyreek Hill. Waddle teased NFL fans with his recent wishes to have a raise with Hill, who is nicknamed the ‘Cheetah’. The acquisition of the former Chiefs wideout means the Dolphins possess one of the fastest wide receiver combinations in the NFL next season.

During a recent episode of the “I Am Athlete” podcast, Waddle did confirm that a race with Hill will take place down the line. He even jokes that he is already working on his legs the day after Hill’s blockbuster trade.

The Dolphins also did acquire former Niners RB Raheem Mostert and added more electrifying speed to their offense.

While talking about Hill and his speed, Waddle states, “I already knew this was coming. The next day (after the trade), I said, ‘I know he’s going to try to race. Let me get on these legs real quick.’ I already know a race is going to come.” Waddle seems to be excited to work with one of the top wide receivers in the league in 2022.

Waddle understands the greatness of Tyreek Hill and shows a willingness to learn from his experience. He believes that Hill is the same caliber of a player as himself and will be looking to learn from him. Hill will be playing in his 7th NFL campaign. Waddle hopes to emulate the Cheetah after a terrific rookie season in 2021.

The elusive wideout did break the record for most catches in his rookie season with 104 catches. He is looking to add explosive runs and more yards for his efforts, something Hill is well known for throughout his career.

He did end up recording 1016 receiving yards with 6 TDs last season and is looking to add more in 2022.

The dynamic tandem of Waddle and Hill will be a formidable partnership for any defensive unit in the NFL. It will cause many problems for the other franchises but benefits the Dolphins. The organization’s fans will be dreaming of making it to the Super Bowl in the upcoming campaign.
