The Super Bowl 2012 was held at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The New York Giants were able to defeat the Tom Brady-led New England Patriots in that Super Bowl. Despite that, many people’s focus was on Jerry Jones after that game had ended.

After the Super Bowl ended, pictures were circulated that showed that snipers were present at the Lucas Oil Stadium. The practice of having spaces for snipers in an NFL stadium was followed by Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

He had earlier revealed that before building the AT&T Stadium; he made sure there were several sniper’s nests installed from the outset. According to a source, ”The photos, which were swiftly removed following some public backlash, show an Indianapolis SWAT sniper manning a custom-built Remington M700 in an XLR Industries chassis perched on an Alamo Four Star DCLW tripod.”

People’s opinions were split regarding this matter. Some thought it was inappropriate to have snipers present at a stadium that was full of so many people. On the other hand, some believed it was good to have some sort of security ready in case a mishap happened.

Jerry Jones made sure no holes were left in the stadium of the Dallas Cowboys
As stated earlier, Jerry Jones had made sure that there were sniper nests present in the AT&T Stadium. The Dallas Cowboys are one of the most famous teams in the world, and with that comes extra responsibility.

The safety of fans is the most important thing to the Dallas Cowboys owner. You never know when a sort of unfortunate attack could happen in a public space. As a result, Jones wanted his stadium’s security to be in the best position to take care of things. He seems to be a firm believer that precaution is better than cure.
