The sale of the Broncos franchise for a record $4.65 billion recently has ushered Rob Walton into the NFL. It leaves fans wondering about where the Cowboys’ GM ranks with the entry of a new NFL franchise owner.

Is the Walton-Penner group deal finalized with the Denver Broncos?

They have technically submitted the winning bid. However, there remain some crucial technical hurdles. The offer will face review from the NFL’s finance committee. It will then proceed to seek approval by voting of all NFL owners.

The condition to be met for the Walton-Penner group will be to get 24 of 32 owners voting in favor of the offer to be finalized.

The ongoing 90-day period will be a challenging time for the Broncos fans will hope for considerable changes. While they achieved relative success under the ownership of the late Pat Bowlen, the anticipation will be fever pitch.
