The injury occurred during San Francisco’s wild-card victory over the Dallas Cowboys. This might not change his trade status, though. Jimmy Garoppolo on a Rehab Journey
Jimmy Garoppolo had a shoulder injury during San Francisco’s wild-card round victory against Dallas last season. The surgery is required to repair the torn capsule in his throwing shoulder. As per reports, rehabilitation may sideline him until the summer, and he may miss some significant time away from the turf.
The athlete is already dealing with a torn thumb ligament. Despite this, he took part in the Niners’ final five games, and it does not require surgery.

According to Adam Schefter, the rehab process might wrap up in July; If they made a trade, he’ll be ready for the season to work with the new coaching staff and medical staff.
Preliminary estimates are that Garoppolo is expected to resume throwing sometime prior to the July 4 holiday. If and when a trade is consummated, Garoppolo would be available to begin working with the new coaching and medical staff.
