He was being courted by a bunch of teams. However, the Green Bay Packers shocked the entire NFL fraternity by trading up and drafting Love as the 26th pick in the first round. Fans were stunned by the Packers’ decision to do so, especially when they needed reinforcements in the wideout department.
Famed NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers was also ‘surprised’ by Love’s acquisition. The youngster will compete with Rodgers for a spot in the starting lineup this season. However, displacing the great Aaron Rodgers is no mean task.

Emmanuel Acho weighs in on the Jordan Love – Aaron Rodgers debate
In a recent installment of Speak For Yourself, hosts Marcellus Wiley and Emmanuel Acho spoke about Aaron Rodgers’ unfortunate situation at Lambeau Field. Acho went on to make comparisons between Jordan Love and Pat Mahomes. He also said that Rodgers could be ‘threatened’ by Love’s arrival.
“If you look statistically, Marcellus, if you look statistically, Lavar, the odds are not in Aaron Rodgers’ favor. It’s the copycat league, everybody’s chasing greatness. Well, who is everybody chasing? Because Pat Mahomes has proven to be great. The only problem is, Jordan Love, he ain’t Pat Mahomes but the Packers ain’t realized it yet.
