Schlereth remembers when Payton joined the Broncos, he cleaned the house and banned the business people from the cafeteria. This reminded Mark Schlereth of a moment when a fan walked up to him and said what the problem was for them. Mark Schlereth says, “what’s the problem? He goes Sean Payton walked out of the building and the fear walked out with him. Oh, and I was like wow that’s a poignant statement.”
