For the Wide receivers to shine in this royal league of football, all that needs is the pace with which they can swoop into the opponent’s territory. And for the record, Tyreek Hill was the best in the game.

Thus to make up for the conceded ones, Chiefs signed Scantling on a three-year, $30 million deal. The contract assures the star $18 million over the first two years and can make up to $36 million if he hits all the incentives in the contract.

Scantling was drafted by the Packers in 2018, as a fifth-round pick for the team. Since then, he has made 123 receptions for 2,153 yards and 13 touchdowns in his entire 59 career games. He became the only player in the league to rank in the top 10 in yards for the past three seasons.

This contract made him the most expensive WR in the history of the game. After serving as a strong wideout for the Chiefs and guiding the team for a Super Bowl Victory in 2020, Hill decided to part ways with the side.

The Chiefs still hold five draft picks they received in exchange for Hill. They can utilize it to recruit more potential WR to strengthen the spot. Even though Scantling’s recruitment to some extent is compensation for Hill, his records have yet to justify the intentions. With that said, he played exceptionally in the previous season. He caught 33 passes for 690 yards and made six touchdowns for the team.
