Kansas City Chiefs’ Offensive Coordinator Eric Bieniemy was called in for an interview with the Atlanta Falcons earlier this week. Now Bieniemy feels like he’s caught in the middle of a fix to become the new Head Coach of the Falcons.
Around the same time, rumors about the Chiefs OC’s lack of preparation for the interviews were running rampant. Falcons officials were livid after having heard such rumors and refuted any such falsehoods.
Bieniemy, considered one of the best candidates for the post of Head Coach, has interviewed for many head-coaching openings over the last three postseasons.

According to sources Bieniemy was “prepared, knew everything about the team, had a great plan, and is a bona fide candidate.”
Bieniemy has good relations with the Falcons as they played the Chiefs in Week 16. Kansas took the win home after a failed field goal attempt by Atlanta.
Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes support Eric Bieniemy
Wyche’s source cited strong recommendations from players, league officials, and other team officials as reasons justifying Bieniemy as an attractive option. Reid and Mahomes had been campaigning for him to get this opportunity for a long time.
