The Patrick Mahomes-led Kansas City Chiefs had a tremendous campaign in the NFL last year. The Super Bowl LIV champions were determined to return to the Super Bowl after yet another strong season under coach Andy Reid.

The Chiefs won the AFC West crown by a 14-2 record, with Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce in red-hot form. But they suffered a humbling 9-31 loss to Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The home team’s defense managed to silence the Chiefs’ offense in epic fashion. Mahomes tried his best to put together a winning drive in the 2nd half, but it was to no avail.

He completed just 26 of his 49 attempted passes, throwing for 270 yards and 2 interceptions. This was the 1st time that Mahomes had 0 passing touchdowns in an NFL game. But a lot of that has to do with the ankle/foot injury he was dealing with.

There’s no doubt that Mahomes will come back with a vengeance in 2021. Based on his strict fitness regime, we expect to see the former Texas A&M man fit in time for Kansas City Chiefs’ season opener.
