However, there weren’t positives without the negatives; the biggest one being Mahomes’ interception issue.

We’ve made it infinitely clear that Patrick Mahomes has suffered the worst start to a season in his meteoric NFL career. The quarterback threw six interceptions in 2020, and has already topped that number in the 2021 NFL season. And yes, we’re only six games in. This means he’s averaged more than one interception per game.

Mahomes comes from a close-knit family and they often defend each other stances in public. His fiancee, Brittany has gone after NFL referees often after giving calls against the Chiefs. Now, it seems his mother has taken to social media to defend her son. Although the bias is clear, some can claim Randi Mahomes makes a good point.

The referee called it an interception, and the commentators also highlighted it during the broadcast. That took Mahomes’ tally to seven for this season, and he even threw an eighth one later in the game.

His mother took to Twitter to write, “Ok PEOPLE that should not be an interception on the QB… that should be a fumble or anything else.. just putting it out there.. GO CHIEFS.” People instantly responded to her in hilarious fashion. One fan wrote, “Yeah let’s just change the rules of football for your son…”

After a dismal 2-3 record, Kansas City Chiefs have managed to level it up at 3-3. Although this isn’t spectacular, it is a step in the right direction. Washington Football Team isn’t the best team in their division, but they put up a decent challenge. They were a tall enough hurdle that the Chiefs leaped over with ease.

Patrick Mahomes was once again the star of the show, rifling the ball for 397 yards, notching two touchdowns. Despite two interceptions, one blatant and one controversial, we can safely say he led the Chiefs valiantly. Darrel Williams picked up two touchdowns and showed off his fun side with a little dance.

On the other side of things, Kansas City Chiefs’ defense had a solid outing. They looked strong in their positions and prevented Washington from making any crucial point scoring drives. They kept Taylor Heinicke at bay and sacked him three times. This was the convincing performance they needed to stamp their authority on their division again.
