Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, already on the path to greatness

Reddit user u/IceFreezer304 put forth an interesting theory ahead of Sunday’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Carolina Panthers. At present, 25-year-old Patrick Mahomes can add yet another laurel to his already impressive CV later this season.

If the Chiefs make their way to a win against the Miami Dolphins in Week 14, then Mahomes will have beaten all the teams in the AFC Conference (apart from the Kansas City Chiefs). He will do so in a record-breaking span of 49 games.

If Mahomes achieves this feat, he will overtake the Dallas Cowboys legend Tony Romo who previously held the record. The former quarterback achieved the same feat in the NFC Conference over the course of 55 games.

Of course, he hadn’t beaten his own team back then, which is a similar scenario that Patrick Mahomes finds himself in.

The AFC west table-toppers will be gunning for glory against the Panthers who are 3rd in the NFC South Franchise who are on a record 3-5. Will Andy Reid’s boys win their second successive Super Bowl trophy at the end of the season?

Well, it’s safe to say betting against the Kansas City Chiefs is never a smart move.
