Known for Cribbing About Inadequate Weaponry, Aaron Rodgers Feeling the Heat in New York Gets Aided by Davante Adams Like Situation

A scenery change has somehow changed Aaron Rodgers. He has recently joined the New York Jets on a blockbuster trade deal to revive the sleeping giant. And it looks like he has already found his best offensive weapon to do just that. Rodgers, who has a history of complaining about the inadequate weaponry, has started his time in New York in an exact opposite way, aided by a Davante Adams-like situation.
Rodgers spent his last season with the Green Bay Packers complaining about the lack of offensive weaponry. He had lost his best outlet in Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders and the offense struggled to get going. But things are looking good at MetLife Stadium as the QB might have found his Davante equivalent. And he had great things to say about him.

Aaron Rodgers made his first appearance on the Pat McAfee Show after switching to the Jets. And he took this opportunity to praise his new wide receiver partner Garrett Wilson. The quarterback even went on to compare the 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year with his friend Davante Adams.
Wilson had a great rookie season last time out and would be high on confidence going into this season. Especially now as he has got Rodgers, who has the ability to find him even in tight spaces. Now that the QB has heaped praise on his new outlet, Wilson would want to prove him right. After all, Rodgers doesn’t praise his offense, or for that matter anybody, very often.

Change from recent years

In recent years, Aaron Rodgers has complained about everything, from the offensive weapons he has to the front office. Even his head coach at Green Bay Matt LaFleur was on the receiving end of the complaints of the QB. Last season, he was upset over the offensive struggles of the team and publicly called out his wide receivers. Getting praise from him then becomes an achievement and Garrett Wilson has got it without playing a single competitive snap.
So yes, Rodgers looks like something has changed in him. He looks happy to be on the Jets and will try to take them to heights that the fans expect. But it remains to be seen if his attitude remains the same if, by any means, the Jets get a bad start to the season.
