Kyler Murray is one of the best budding superstars in the league right now. The Arizona cardinals certainly made a big bet on him by picking him as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Although the 2022 offseason started on a bitter note for the quarterback and his franchise, things have got back in shape lately.
The quarterback who scrubbed all the Cardinals’ posts from his Instagram account, thought to be a public expression of disarray with the franchise, now seems to be working out. The Arizona GM recently revealed that there is “zero chance” that they would trade the quarterback. Following this, the quarterback himself revealed his intentions to win the Super Bowl with the Cardinals.

With all this playing out, it won’t be hard to suspect that there might be a new contract incoming for Murray. However, it hasn’t been a cakewalk for the young player since the day he entered the league. Murray started off his NFL career with a mere 5-10-1 record in his rookie season, but then gradually he rose up to his name, and the youngster has been since producing great numbers.
Murray had an eventful college career
It is little known that before winning the Heisman trophy with the Oklahoma Sooners, he was also a standout baseball player in college. After his eventful college career both as a football and baseball player, Murray was struck with the dilemma of joining either of the two.
Murray finally opted for the NFL draft rather than the MLB draft, and as per him, it was one of the hardest decisions he has ever made. Recently in a video by GQ, the 24-year-old revealed why he chose to be on the gridiron instead of the diamond.

“Picking football over baseball was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make,” Murray said. “For me personally, I grew up wanting to win Super Bowls. I always watched the Super Bowl football. I knew everything about the game still, you know, so it was for me personally like I said it was just something about the game of football that I love.”
