Baker Mayfield got his second opportunity this season after having a rollercoaster of a year. The QB was claimed by the Los Angeles Rams on Tuesday. To top that off, Mayfield is already making his debut for the Rams as they take on the Raiders in a Thursday Night game. And what a debut it was. The Los Angeles Rams aren’t the healthiest squad this season. With QB Matthew Stafford and star receiver Cooper Kupp foreseeably out, the team came to depend on backup quarterback John Wolford.

But, Wolfhard was bothered by a neck injury. This paved way for Mayfield to be subbed in to make his debut for the Rams. With this debut, Mayfield has officially played for three different teams in his first five seasons.

With only two days of being able to grasp whatever he could of the Rams’ strategy, with more time Mayfield could potentially be the Rams’ short-term solution while Stafford recovers.
