When asked if Lamar can improve his output this season, Willey replied “Step forward, quit playing. It’s the wrong dude if you’re ever going to bet against Lamar Jackson. If you look all the way back to his career in Louisville, he has missed just one game despite being this mobile running quarterback that should have been a wide receiver so he’s durable.

The former Buffalo Bills man even went on to add that Lamar Jackson can repeat his numbers from the previous season without even breaking a sweat. “Now, lets talk about the production. In terms of him getting better in every major statistical category, every single year.”

“Completions, completion percentage, passing yards, I mean the guy continues to evolve his game every single year he steps onto the field despite the expectations of him being great when he steps on that same field. You can be great, and actually greater than great. That’s what I’m expecting for Lamar Jackson this season,” Willey added.

Willey even tipped Lamar Jackson to reclaim the NFL MVP award this season. He compared the young QB to the likes of Peyton Manning, Joe Montana and Brett Favre. They all won back-to-back NFL MVP awards during their playing days.

The Florida-born youngster has been phenomenal for the Ravens in his first two seasons in the NFL. The 23-year old, who was recently featured on the cover of Madden NFL 21, had an outstanding 2019 season. He registered just six TDs in his debut NFL season. However, he followed that up with a massive 36 TDs in his second season with the Ravens. Lamar completed 4,328 passing yards last year which helped him get his hands of the MVP award. Can the former Louisville man make it two wins in two years?
