Patrick Mahomes put on a show for the Kansas City Chiefs fans on Sunday. The Arrowhead Stadium erupted after Mahomes and Co. came back from behind to win against the Titans in overtime. However, the fan reaction was not all positive, especially the ones from Tennessee.

The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Tennessee Titans 20-17 in OT and improved to 6-2 for the season. Kansas fans can always depend on the Grim Reaper to drive a comeback and on Sunday, the 27-year-old used both his hands and his legs. MVP chants flooded social media after the game.

Patrick Mahomes rushed more than the Chiefs’ RBs

Patrick Mahomes recorded a 500+ yards game with 443 coming from passing and the remaining from just running with the ball. These astounding numbers came hours after Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields set the NFL record for most rushing yards in a regular season game as a quarterback.

Kansas City Chiefs fans already know who the awards are going to at the end of the season. The 2020 Super Bowl MVP has over 2600 passing yards this NFL season with 21 touchdowns. Mahomes led the comeback against the Titans and tied the game in the 4th quarter with a rushing touchdown and a 2-point conversion. Fans loved it.

Patrick Mahomes was in the clutch against the Tennessee Titans. This invited Steph Curry comparisons from the arrowheads.

Additionally for the Chiefs, tight end, Travis Kelce covered 106 yards over 10 receptions. Juju Smith-Schuster also had a 10-reception game. The only receiver with a touchdown for Kansas was Mecole Hardman. However, Titans fans think the referees made some bad calls and awarded unfair penalties to Mahomes and Kansas.

Kansas City Chiefs received 10 penalties and the Titans, 8. Hence, many fans think these allegations are incorrect.

So how did Mahomes beat the Titans?

The Tennessee Titans put on an explosive offensive performance in the rushing department. Derrick Henry walked into the end zone for two touchdowns. King Henry leads the NFL in rushing yards after his 115 yards against the Chiefs. However, the Titans severely lacked in the wide receiver section and the Chiefs’ defense took advantage. Titans QB Malik Willis also had a terrible night with only 80 yards of passing and the fans let him know.
