The Deflategate controversy remains one of the most divisive subjects in the NFL. It put Tom Brady in the limelight, but for a negative reason. Both QBs had a professional competition to be the greatest, which sparked fierce discussion among fans. They seem to have a good bond now. However, some leaked e-mails amidst the scandal showcased Brady’s genuine feelings for HOF QB, Peyton Manning.

Some of Tom Brady’s e-mails were in the documents as part of the NFLPA’s lawsuit against the league. At that time, the deflated ball issue was at the height. It was a mail he sent in 2014 to his childhood friend, Kevin Brady. The message referenced Peyton Manning and appeared to call into the QB’s ability to play. The note was very much on a bold note, which would raise some questions in mind.

Brady wrote, “Thanks Popa. I’ve got another 7 or 8 years. He has 2. That’s the final chapter… Game on.”

On a factual note, TB12 mentioned 7-8 years in the mail. He is now moving towards the seventh year since typing it to his friend. Between the 2014 and 2021 seasons, the GOAT had a passer rating of 100.2 with 35,371 yards, 265 scores, and 69 interceptions in 125 games. He achieved four Super Bowl rings under his name. But if this is like the Simpsons’ future predictions, the Pharaoh made his longevity clear since the expose.

How did Peyton Manning respond to the email by Tom Brady?

After the documents and response came public, Peyton Manning responded to the emails for the first time following the Broncos‘ practice in 2015. He admitted everyone was guessing about it for a long. The Sheriff also called that Brady even wrote him an unneeded sorry message. Moreover, his emails disclosed in public are illogical to him.

Manning added“No harm, no foul, I didn’t think a lot of it. Somebody said I was roasted, I’ve been roasted before and that is not roasted… I can promise you that email was amateur night compared to some of the things that were said about me.” As of now, there remains no ill will among both behemoths. One is living his retired life, while the other is on the Super Bowl quest — probably for one last time.
