People can’t always keep promises, and guilt follows. The Buffalo Bills quarterback, Josh Allen, is going through something similar as he threw three interceptions and lost a critical fumble in the fourth quarter at Aaron Rodgers‘s team. Jets owned MetLife Stadium. A week ago, Allen had already accepted his mistakes and talked about all the unnecessary decisions he had made in the past.

But at the same time, before the 22-16 loss against the New York Jets, Allen promised to do better in this season opener and vowed to play more smartly. But as it turned out, the pressure sank in yet again, and despite the 13-3 lead by halftime, Allen scrambled the 205 passing yards. The Bills shot caller stated that this is similar to what he’s felt in his past seasons. And in the post-match press conference, he vows to do better in the remaining season.

The Bills had various opportunities where they could’ve easily overthrown their opponents as Jets star QB, Aaron Rodgers hurt his ankle in the very beginning of the match. But even the Rodgers-Less Jets were able to find their way out of the Bills’ reckless attacks. After the game, Allen was quite disappointed with himself.

He said, “Same s**t, same place, different day. I hurt our team tonight. I cost our team tonight. This feels eerily similar to last year and I hate that it’s the same.” Well, this was taken up by a reporter in the post-match press conference, so that the player could elaborate further on his words. Allen replied, Again, I couldn’t tell you now. I gotta go watch and learn from this one.

So, all hope is not lost yet. Allen looks forward to making a comeback stronger after learning from his mistakes. But at the same time, Allen knows he needs to hold himself responsible for this loss. Even the head coach, Sean McDermott had harsh statements regarding the team’s season-opener performance.

Sean McDermott remained brutally honest about Allen’s interceptions

It was quite apparent that the Bills’ head coach wasn’t happy with their debut performance. McDermott agreed that the team made the hard for themselves which was not at all required at the first instant. McDermott said, “It’s hard to win in this league when you’re playing two opponents: the one on the other sideline and yourself and that’s what we did tonight.

So he believes that by the looks of Allen’s performance, he seemed more of a Jets player than his own team. Furthermore, Dermott stated that this is not at all the right way to go about the game of Football. He stated, “That’s not the right formula to win games in the NFL.
