LeBron James mentioned, “We don’t want them to play in our household right now until they understand how physical and how demanding the game is. Then they can have their choice in high school, we’ll talk over it. But right now there’s no need for it. There’s enough sports they can play. They play basketball, they play soccer, they play everything else but football and hockey.”

King James added it was a precaution. As a parent, one would do all possible to safeguard their children. He doesn’t think of himself as the only one who doesn’t let his children play football. It’s just that he’s LeBron James, and it would get publicity for no reason.

LeBron James once got offers from prominent NFL franchises

As an all-state receiver with good statistics in high school, one could imagine what a beast LeBron James would be in the NFL. But there was a time when the chosen one got offers from the NFL. During the lockout, the NBA star claims two teams sought him: the Seattle Seahawks and the Dallas Cowboys. It was the time between July and December 2011 when the NBA ceased all activities.

James revealed it during ESPN’s Monday Night Football with the Manning Brothers. He still has the jersey Jerry Jones and Pete Carroll sent in 2011. According to The Athletic, James would be an excellent athlete if he accepted the NFL offer during the lockout. One can think of the havoc he could create in football. However, it may forever stay a dream.
