The hosts said that there is a general feeling that Gronk wants to play but has been publicly unsure whether he should play or retire. The hosts agreed that this was unsurprising, as there was never any confirmation from Gronk about not returning to play again. Also, Gronk had retired once before from the New England Patriots. However, he returned after a year to join Brady at the Buccaneers.

What do the Bucs think about the return of Rob Gronkowski?

So far, Bucs coach Todd Bowles does not know of Gronkowski’s plans to return for the season. He has not publicly commented on his decision to retire or return to play. However, the TE has mentioned that should he return, he would play for the Bucs in the new season.

Speaking to SB Nation, Gronk said, “The Buccaneers situation is just too good if I decide to go back and play. Like I said, I love all my teammates there.”

Being one of the best TEs in the world, if not the best, Gronkowski may not have much trouble getting quickly into shape should he want to return to the field. However, it depends entirely on him.

However, Bucs fans and players, including Brady, would desire him to decide on his course of action so he can also be a part of the team effort for another Super Bowl.
