The Chargers are at the summit of the AFC West with a 3-1 record and are enjoying life at the moment. However, one person who was not too pleased despite Monday’s win over the Las Vegas Raiders is star defensive end, Joey Bosa.

Los Angeles Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa hits out at NFL officials

Speaking to the media after yesterday’s 14-28 win over the Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers DE Joey Bosa had a few things to tell NFL officials. He criticized their decision to give him a 15-year ‘unsportsmanlike’ penalty with 3:56 left in the game.

“I didn’t even know they called the penalty on me ‘cause I was fuming. But, I mean, refs are blind…I’m sorry, but you’re blind. Like open your eyes and do your job. It’s so bad. Unbelievable.”

“I should never lose my control like that. But these guys have got to do a better job because it’s been years of terrible, terrible missed calls left and right. It’s really pathetic, honestly. But pathetic on me, too, for doing what I did. Call or not, I have to take a step back and just go the next play. But, man, they just seem to not…have their eyes open half the time…Fifteen yards, it’s a big deal,’’ Bosa said via USA Today.

The Chargers were lucky that two plays later, safety Derwin James intercepted a pass from Raiders QB Derek Carr and won the game for the home team. But things could have gone south for the Chargers had the visitors pushed for a tighter finish to what was a thrilling Monday night encounter.
