Los Angeles Rams DT Aaron Donald is one of the toughest defensive players and a nightmare for QBs in the NFL. But now with Sunday’s NFC Championship game, Donald has an opportunity to add another golden achievement. He is entering his prime, having spent eight seasons with the Rams taking down quarterbacks and their offensive lines. A 3-time Defensive Player of the Year, he was also the Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2014. He also holds the distinction of making the NFL’s 2010s All-Decade Team and the NFL All-Pro team 7 times. But despite all his achievements, only one thing really eludes him and that is a Super Bowl victory.

Aaron Donald and the Rams shifting gears

The 8-time Pro Bowl defensive star does indeed have the intention of defeating the San Francisco 49ers on his mind. He does also state that this is the moment that they have been working up to the entire season. He recognizes the challenge that the 49ers are surely going to present, having lost to them on recent occasions.

The Rams DC Raheem Morris was also seen sharing his thoughts about the enormity of the moment the franchise does currently find itself. He was clear in his message that they want to win for Donald to crown his work over the years. The words “We want to win for Aaron Donald” from him only provide more clarity on their motivations.

But it isn’t just Aaron Donald but all other defensive veterans on the roster who deserve to get their shining rings. Even Donald will be full of determination to make good of what will be a career-defining opportunity if they beat the 49ers on Sunday.
