Recently, an old vintage clip of former Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino circulated across media platforms where he executed a perfect behind-the-back pass. This made the netizens call out Patrick Mahomes, who is widely regarded as the master of trick plays.

In the current set of active players, the Texas A&M product cum the Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes dominates the NFL arena with incredible throwing abilities. Fans usually compare him with legends of the game, and Marino happened to be the next one in line after an old snippet resurfaced on Instagram.

In the viral clip, one could see Marino launching a 40-yard bullet behind his back. It perfectly ended up reaching the hands at the end zone. Soon fans dragged Mahomes’ name into the discussion and lowballed the 27-year-old claiming that the former quarterback was much better than him.

“Mahomes is overrated,” said one of the fans. “Marino and Moon are the best strong-arm passers in NFL history,” claimed another fan.
“No doubt so tired of Mahomes”, “Haha sh*t that is some distance for a flip”, and “That’s just unreal” were some of the other comments shared by the fans.

During his illustrious career of 17 seasons in Miami, the quarterback racked up 42 touchdowns for a mammoth record of 61,000 passing yards. Even today, he is regarded as one of the greats to ever play this game.

His former coach Mike Kafka hailed the passer for his manipulative skills. “He has an unbelievable ability to manipulate the football,” Kafka said in an interview per The ProFootballtalk. “He works it, he tries to tick me off with some of that stuff. If it happened in a game, it better be complete.” he added.
