Aaron Rodgers is by far the highest-paid QB in the NFL. In fact, he is the highest-paid offensive weapon in the league with a yearly salary of around $50 million. Nobody even comes close. Coming to the next highest-paid position is that of a wide receiver. Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins is the biggest earner in the wide receiver category with a yearly salary of $30 million.

The Packers are paying a bucketload of money for one single player. No doubt that Rodgers deserves what he makes. He has created a legacy to reach where he is in stature. His departure from Lambeau Field will hurt the team in the short term but that would also free up a lot of salary cap space and funds to start a healthy rebuild.
