LSU’s star wide receiver Malik Nabers has recently found himself in hot water after being charged with illegally carrying a weapon. The 19-year-old was taken into custody by the New Orleans Police Department on Monday and was released the following day.

Nabers was a highly touted four-star recruit out of high school. He made an immediate impact as a freshman in 2021. However, he truly broke out in his sophomore season this past year, logging an impressive 1,017 receiving yards and 3 TDs. He led the team in both catches and yards. He’s generally seen to be amongst LSU’s leading prospects coming into next season.

With his impressive performance on the field, Nabers has caught the attention of NFL scouts and is viewed as a future prospect in the draft. He shall certainly play a major role for the LSU Tigers in the upcoming season, as he will look to increase his stake as an NFL bound prospect.
