When it rains, it pours. Currently, third in NFC North divisional standings, things are not looking bright for Chicago Bears. Not only have they lost more matches than they have won [3 won and 4 lost], their coach Matt Nagy is all set to miss the important clash against the San Francisco 49ers.

Head coach Matt Nagy has tested positive for COVID-19 and is surely out for the weekend fixture against the 49ers. San Francisco is one of the few sides to have a worse start to this NFL season. A win against a hapless 49ers side would have been a big boost for the Bears to secure a wildcard spot at the very least.

Special Team Coordinator Chris Tabor, who is in his 14th season as an NFL assistant coach, is set to be the interim coach till Matt Nagy’s return. A couple of days ago, Tabor was quipped about the pressure of taking over as a coach, to which he nonchalantly replied that it is nothing new for him.

“If that comes to fruition, I’ll be honest with you, I run a team meeting every day, and I know in the special teams world, it is a team meeting,” Tabor said. “I deal with every player on this football team, from the quarterbacks to the defensive linemen to the offensive linemen. I meet with them every [day]. To me, that’s no different. Meeting and leading guys, that’s not a big deal,” Tabor confidently added.
