So he naturally looked angry when head coach Andy Reid sent him to the locker room against the Jacksonville Jaguars. And the Kansas City Chiefs QB’s insane act on the sidelines had a dramatic Tom Brady touch.

Amid all the sideline drama, the Chiefs booked their place in the AFC championship game. And Mahomes will look to channel his inner Brady on the field next time rather than off it.

Patrick Mahomes suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter of the divisional playoff clash with the Jaguars on Saturday. The Chiefs took him off the field and sent him to the locker room while backup QB Chad Henne took the field. But what happened on the sidelines next reminded everyone of a certain Tom Brady.

Mahomes didn’t want to come off even though he was injured. And when the Chiefs staff decided to send him to the locker room, he showed his frustration by slamming his jacket on the ground. He then walked off to the locker room.

The Chiefs QB1 came back on the field in the third quarter to finish of the Jaguars and take his team to the AFC championship game. So, the injury wasn’t that serious. And maybe Mahomes knew that already. But surely Andy Ried wouldn’t take any chances at this stage of the season. The NFL world got Brady vibes from the jacket slamming incident.
