Miami Dolphins have had a dismal start to their NFL season so far. The Dolphins are 1-4-0 heading into the must-win weekend fixture against Jacksonville Jaguars. The major problem for the Dolphins so far has been their offense.

The Dolphins are consistently ranked in the lower percentile for passing yards, total yards, and a touchdown. With such dismal stats, the news of talented rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa being cleared to play this weekend is like music to the ears of Dolphins fans.

Tua Tagovailoa is back!

Earlier in the day, the ever-reliable NFL insider Ian Rapoport broke the news that the Miami Dolphins have taken Tua Tagovailoa off the injured reserve list. The rookie quarterback had suffered an injury in the second match-day against Buffalo Bills and this Sunday will mark his return to the game.

Rapoport also confirmed that the rookie quarterback will also start against the Jaguars. Meanwhile, Dolphins’ opponents have elevated Isaiah Ford and Kirk Merritt for the clash against the Dolphins. “The #Dolphins have activated QB Tua Tagovailoa off injured reserve and he’ll start. They also elevated WR Isaiah Ford and WR Kirk Merritt for Sunday’s game vs the #Jaguars.” he tweeted.

“Take it one play at a time” – Miami Dolphins coach Brian Flores’ message to Tua

Meanwhile, Dolphins coach Brian Flores informed ESPN that the quarterback trained well but he doesn’t want Tua to force himself. He instead asked the quarterback to take one thing at a time and calculate risks accordingly. Last, he reminded the quarterback to be a team player and to take one play at a time.

“Take the plays that are there. If there’s an opportunity for a big play, try to make it — don’t try to force anything,” Flores said Friday. “It’s not a one-man team. … My message to him is take it one play at a time, go through your progressions one play at a time and try to execute.”
