Tua Tagovailoa has single-handedly rescued Miami Dolphins from being an obscure team. However, their recent run of performances left a lot to be desired. The embarrassing loss to Jacksonville put a damper on Tua’s return, but did a lot more damage as well. Apparently, rumors of a quarterback trade sparked when Houston Texans expressed their interest in getting rid of Deshaun Watson. Miami was more than welcome to have Watson join their squad, at Tagovailoa’s expense.

This would surely be an axe to the heart of any young quarterback; having their place snatched after one poor performance. But Tagovailoa hasn’t had just one poor performance, as they even received a lashing at the hands of Tampa Bay. Fans turned on him quickly, and Joe Schad recently quoted him, saying, “I don’t not feel wanted.”

What could this statement mean? Is Tua staying in Miami? Do Miami Dolphins fans want to see Tagovailoa in the team? Is there someone in the franchise’s management that wants to keep the Samoan on board for the future? At 23, the quarterback is still a young prospect, and stands 20 years junior to Tom Brady.

Losing Tua to Houston could be a hurtful decision for Miami, but gaining Deshaun Watson would negate that. A three-time Pro Bowl QB, Watson would definitely reinforce Miami’s offensive line for the rest of the season. As for Tua, Houston or Philadelphia or maybe even Washington are the potential destination.
