Micah Parsons and Legendary Cowboys WR Michael Irvin Pose Alongside New Welterweight Kingpin Errol Spence Jr After Beating Yordenis Ugas

The Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons and legendary WR Michael Irvin witnessed history in AT&T Stadium last night. It is rare for the Cowboys to be on the sidelines while a match-up is taking place on their home ground. But Texas is also the home of a certain hard-hitting athlete. 

Errol Spence Jr took on Yordenis Ugas in a welterweight bout for the WBA championship title. The Texas native put on a great show and after a tough fight, he got his hand raised. After the match, Spence was seen celebrating the victory in the Cowboys locker room with some big names.

Errol Spence Jr becomes the triple crown winner

Errol Spence Jr is one of the best boxers to ever come out of Texas. The 32-year-old athlete is arguably the greatest welterweight fighter today. He has the gold to back up that statement. His last night bout was the one for the ages. The Texan stepped foot in a boxing ring after 16 long months. But after seeing his performance last night, it is safe to assume that he hasn’t lost a beat.

Spence took on the 35-year-old Cuban Yordenis Ugas. The bout was for the WBA title. The American boxer wanted to win this match-up to add another championship to his already impressive trophy case, which includes the WBC and IBF welterweight titles. Spence and Ugas danced for 10 back and forth rounds. Spence landed 216 punches while the 35-year-old Ugas only managed to connect 96. But in the end, the hometown hero won by knockout in the tenth round.

“I showed my gratitude by not just telling y’all, but showing y’all in the ring,” Said Spence after the bout. “Everybody got their money’s worth. I put on a great show.” It indeed was a great show, and everybody got their money’s worth.

39,946 fans attended the bout at AT&T Stadium last night. Among those fans were some Dallas Cowboys. The star linebacker Micah Parsons and legendary receiver Michael Irvin were cheering Errol Spence Jr on.

After Spence won his third welterweight title, he celebrated in the Cowboys locker room. Micah Parsons and Michael Irvin were also there. The trio posed with the championships of the boxer, and Parsons tweeted“Had the time of my life!!” What are your thoughts on the Spencer vs Ugas fight?
