During the late hours of the first half, Mahomes received a tackle around his feet. His high ankle sprain got re-injured during the game’s most intense moments. Mahomes was mic’d up for the game and from a clip shared by NFL films, it was evident that he was in excruciating pain after the tackle. The young quarterback screamed in pain as he was sidelined to the bench to recuperate. The clip took the internet by storm. Fans were quick to shed light on their own theories of the supposedly injured Mahomes.

After NFL films on Twitter shared a mic’d up video of Patrick Mahomes, fans were quick to pass judgments on the video that showcased his ordeal through the injury. Various people swarmed the comment section who commented on the video. Many people showered Mahomes with their sense of appreciation and love for him and the game.

While there were others who were comparing Mahomes’s injury to Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers. They were quick to compare Favre and Rodgers’ injuries, stating that the former suffered from broken ribs and broken fingers and Mahomes’s injury was minimalistic compared to theirs.
