Evans signed a 5-year, $82.5 million contract extension with the Pirates, including $55 million in guarantees. In doing so, he ensured that he will remain in Tampa Bay until 2023.

Apart from football, Mike is engaged in philanthropic work in his hometown back in Texas and in the city of Florida as well. The Mike Evans Family Foundation aims to ‘support, empower, encourage and motivate today’s youth with an understanding that no goal is unattainable’.
