Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook is happy with how the franchise made moves during this NFL free agency. The Vikings made their highlight scalp this offseason by signing former Green Bay Packers outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith. The move garnered appreciation from Cook, who voiced his relief on Smith’s acquisition to the roster.
Smith signed a 3-year, $42 million deal with them, and Cook seems pleased with the Vikings’ player recruitment skills.

Cook will relax as he watches their fresh addition terrorize other offenses instead of terrorizing them twice a year. It was a player they would welcome and count upon following their defensive troubles in the second half last season. The Vikings have seen a revamp of their entire defense with the introduction of a new defensive coordinator in Ed Donatell.
Is Dalvin Cook sensing a twist of fate?
The organization hopes that their gamble with Smith and Hunter works as long as they remain healthy. When healthy, the Vikings might possess one of the best pass-rushing duos in football under new defensive coordinator Donatell. They will help in taking away a lot of pressure off their secondary in the upcoming season.
