NFL has seen quite a few Father-Son duos play and compete at the highest levels. It is uncommon for a duo to play for the same team or in the same Conference. Archie Manning, Peyton Manning, and Eli Manning are one of the most famous families to have played in the NFL. Russell Wilson and his son could become the next ones to join that list in a couple of years’ time.

Wilson, currently with the Denver Broncos, will start his second year with them and is under quite some pressure. With Wilson’s first season ending in disappointment, all eyes are set on 2023 to see what comes next. But the on-field development of Future Zahir aka Russell Carrington Wilson Jr. promises some good news for the Wilson family.

Wilson took a trip to Colorado this past weekend to host his pass academy, and his family joined him on the trip. In the camp, set up by the Russell Wilson Pass Academy, we got to see one of the most impressive developments. Wilson uploaded a clip of his son performing a training routine on Instagram.

On the Instagram post, we can see Russell Wilson Junior, running in a semicircle dodging an imitated block, and taking down two placeholders. The post inspired quite some praise from his father, as we can hear him complementing and hyping his son up. “I see you,  there you go. That’s what i am talking about.”

The post also acted as a promotion for the pass academy that was hosted in the weekend gone by. With the video gaining quite some traction, some fans are already linking Future to follow in his father’s footsteps.

Fans tip Future to play in the NFL

Wilson is tipped to be one of the greats of the game if and when he eventually hangs up his boots. But he need not worry about his legacy if we are to believe his son and his ability to compete at the top. The Instagram post showcased exactly what Wilson would hope from his son, as he impressed everyone with his feat. The fans commented in praise of Future and are already claiming he will play at the top.

“Maybe you should try playing good for the Broncos 🗿,” says one fan.

“Knock ‘em down! 💪🏽,” follows up another fan hinting at his ability to take out the placeholders.

“Russ gon have that boy in the league step dads matter good job Russ💪🏽,” commented another fan linking the father son duo and appreciating them.

“Russell you are an amazing father and role model for your children, especially your sons ❤️🔥🔥💥,” says another fan lauding Russell Wilson for his parenting skills.

As and when Future hits the field when he grows up, we will finally see how he holds up at the top. But for now, Wilson and Ciara and everyone are just excited at the prospect of Future following his father into the NFL.
