However, it will be worth the wait, since the 2022 regular season will feature one of the most anticipated games. One of those will be the AFC Championship Game rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals.

The last time these two sides met, the Joe Burrow led Cincy sealed the win in the overtime after a blunderous second half performance by Patrick Mahomes. The Bengals advanced to the Super Bowl barring the Chiefs from their third consecutive big game appearance. But Mahomes won’t make the same mistake twice.

Patrick Mahomes will be on the lookout for redemption. However, this time the matchup is not scheduled to be held in the Arrowhead Stadium, instead the Chiefs will be on the road to meet the Bengals in the Paul Brown Stadium.

During their AFC Championship Game, Mahomes hurled three touchdowns for 275 yards with two interceptions, which decided the course of the game. On the other hand, Joe Burrow tossed two touchdowns for 250 yards with one interception. The game ended in a 24-27 score in an overtime thriller in favor of the Bengals.

Although Mahomes didn’t make the most of his overtime possession and ended up losing the ball and costing the game. He will make sure not to repeat the same mistake again. His competitiveness will play a vital role in the matchup but Joe Burrow isn’t a quarterback who would back down that easily.
