The Washington Commanders got a marginal victory over the Chicago Bears, on Thursday Night Football. Although the game was less exciting to watch, one particular incident involving the Commanders’ quarterback, Carson Wentz brought the fans back to life, as he bulldozed Bears’ linebacker, Roquan Smith, to the ground.

Former NFL player and analyst, Pat McAfee, took to social media and reacted to that incident. At the same time, many fans praised Wentz for that amazing tackle; some of them even want him to change his position after that play.

Many fans commented on his tweet, as one fan suggested a position change for Wentz, move him to te.

One Twitter user corrected McAfee, and said, he wasn’t just any dude.

Another could not believe what Wentz did to one of the best defenders in the league.

Yet another Twitter user felt this was Wentz’s best play of the season.

One fan thought no other quarterback can do what Wentz did.

Meanwhile, one Twitter user opined, Wentz should have been a blocker all this time instead of a quarterback.

Another fan suggested a position change for the quarterback.

One fan praised and mocked Wentz in the same tweet.

On the other hand, some fans trolled Smith as well for getting tackled like that by a quarterback.

One fan tweeted, Roquan Smith looked like he ran into a light pole, he never saw.

One person thinks the linebacker will become a meme.

Meanwhile, some fans thought a quarterback should not be able to do this, as defenders get called for roughing the passer if they do this to a quarterback.

It is worth noting that referees have been making some roughing-the-passer calls to protect the quarterbacks from concussion injuries. Moreover, the NFL also tweaked its rules to protect the quarterbacks, which drew plenty of criticism from fans and experts.

Meanwhile, the Commanders are still at the bottom of the NFC East division despite the victory. Many of the players have faced plenty of criticism, including Wentz, for their poor performances this season. On the other hand, pressure is mounting on their owner, Dan Snyder, to relinquish the ownership. So, there is a chance the Commanders fans could see a new owner pretty, which could finally turn their fortunes around.
