NFL Community Unites as Multiple Ceremonies To Be Held For Dwayne Haskins To Commemorate His Memory; Young QBs’ Legacy Lives On

Dwayne Haskins inspired a lot of people in his young life. His demise took the whole sporting world by surprise. It is a tragic incident for the whole NFL community. And Haskins passing away so untimely would have a dynamic effect on his closed ones as well.

In a statement released by his wife, Kalabyra Haskins, tells the official details of the memorial service and ceremony. Her message talks about celebrating the young QBs life. His friends, teammates and close ones whose lives he touched, shared stories about Dwayne Haskins.

It is not surprising that a number of groups of people have decided to hold ceremonies. Another memorial service will take place on Saturday in Rockaway Township, New Jersey, Haskins’ home town. On Sunday, a service is organized in Potomac, Maryland, where Haskins went to high school.

To add to that, his college, Ohio State, saw students erect a memorial for Haskins in Ohio Stadium. Truly, everyone in the community came together to commemorate his memory. And with his whole future in front of him, his demise really took everyone by surprise. He was just starting.

Dwayne Haskins Demise Was Untimely and Unfortunate

Tragically, Dwayne Haskins’ parents have decided not to attend the funeral. Consequently, questions arose why they took this strong step. So, ESPN’s Brooke Pryor spoke to the family spokesperson to find out why. Here are her tweets:

It is a saddening turn of events. His mentor coach Urban Meyers and LB Ryan Shazier were in attendance at his funeral. After all, these people saw him grow on the field, as a person and from college to the professional level.

Even players from his college have been doing their bit in paying a tribute to their extremely talented senior.

And even though the quarterback was taken away unfortunately, tragically and completely before time, his legacy lives on.

Whether it was at the high school level, college level or professional stage, Dwayne Haskins was a thorough professional. A hardworking athlete with all of his accolades and laurels in front of him. And the outpour on his tragic demise is a testament that he inspired and touched many a lives on his short time here.
