The ex-Secret Victoria’s Angel is renowned for her outstanding modeling achievements. She has also always advocated for the seriousness with which mental health should be treated. Gisele Bündchen had had a long career as a runway model, and she had seen and done some unusual things. The runway model, therefore, created a memoir. She detailed everything that she experienced in order to share her experiences and memories. The Brazilian model explained how panic attacks started and how she experienced them in one of her book’s chapters.
The former wife of Tom Brady worked non-stop and made a remark in the fashion world. Bündchen appeared on over 1,200 magazine covers. She has also walked in over 600 runway shows. Now that is something rare to achieve. The supermodel had often shared that the modeling industry is no easy business. She detailed that “girls” would constantly get judged over their appearance. The young models were replaceable. Therefore, they accepted any and all kinds of work they were offered. This was something that the 42-year-old did too. Overworking started a much more serious problem.

In her New York Times best-selling memoir, Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life, the Louis Vuitton model noted how she went about while doing a photoshoot. Although it may sound unbelievable, Bündchen faced a lot of negative remarks about her appearance. Hence, in order to stray the attention away from her face, which she was always insecure about, the high-fashion model incorporated movement in her photos.

She thought that movement brought pictures to life. By moving in her pictures, she could add more energy and it gave her the creative freedom to do whatever she wanted. But again, she noted, “it was also a way of deflecting attention from my face.”
All the negativity built up and resulted in her suffering from panic attacks. “I didn’t confront the toll all this was taking until my panic attacks started. I experienced the first in 2003. They would last for the next nine months.” It was a plane ride to her home that triggered her panic attacks. She also felt that she “was going to die.” In order to save herself from the depressive situation, the renowned model made some much-needed lifestyle changes. They worked wonderfully for her.
