Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen’s marital woes have been the talk of the town since Tom Brady chose to return to football. But their differences are only recent. Their past was much more harmonious. So much so, that Tom Brady seemed to have picked up on his wife’s spiritual beliefs, as he revealed a long time ago. This revelation came about during an interview with probably the greatest show host of all time, Oprah Winfrey.

Speaking to Winfrey on ‘Super Soul Sunday’, Brady says, “Spirituality is my greatest purpose. I want to know why we are all here and where we are going.” Oprah wasted no time and asked Brady what he meant. He said, “I think I have you know curiosities in many ways. And I think a lot of it is learning, and loving to learn, and I think since I was a kid, just loving the experience of learning new things. Learning how they impact my life, learning how they impact my relationships.”

The Brady-Bündchen fiasco is now a common agenda in every media house. Although both camps have been silent about their moves, the last major update was that both hired divorce lawyers. Speculations kicked off about the property split, custody of children, and other things. But while many claimed that the issues will not seep into Brady’s on-field performance, it might just seem they were wrong.

Brady’s performance in the first 6 weeks of the season has been disappointing. He’s unable to convert a play in the red zone quite a few times, and his number of touchdowns is also low. Moreover, his skipping the team meeting the day before the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t sit well with many. Many claims his superstar status has led to him receiving “preferential treatment”, and many just outright questions his dedication to the game.
