Aaron Rodgers has recently called off his engagement with the Big Little Lies actor Shailene Woodley. It was though a surprise to many of his fans, but he did drop hints of his sour relationship when he failed to acknowledge his fiancee in the MVP acceptance speech. Although the split was amicable, Rodgers did not seem happy. 

This was not the first time that the Green Bay Packers superstar quarterback was dealing with a breakup. Rodgers is known to have a pretty vibrant dating history. Before Shailene, Rodgers was reportedly dating former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick. The two were considered to be very serious about each other. 

Rodgers and Patrick also solidified their relationship in 2019 after buying a luxurious and magnificent villa in Malibu, California. The couple reportedly splurged $28 million for the sea-facing estate which they bought from British pop icon Robbie Williams. However, months later they announced their split which proved to be reckoning for Patrick. 

Danica Patrick had an honest take on her split with Aaron Rodgers 

During her appearance in Running Wild With Bear Grylls in 2021, the former race car driver opened up about her past relationship. Although she did not mention Rodgers by name, but it was apparent that she was talking about the Green Bay star.

“I think we learn the most about ourselves through relationships, but there’s nothing like heartbreak to really throw you in the deep end of that,” Patrick told host Grylls, according to People. “I’ve learned a lot, and as broken open as I was on the sad end, I have felt so much joy in so many more instances and so many more unlikely places than I ever have, so it’s like my heart got broken open to both ends of the spectrum.”

Though the breakup was hard for her to deal with, she praised her family for being there for her. “[My dad is] always super proud of me. My mom too. My sister… I’m really fortunate that I have a family that’s super supportive. You gotta have someone you can fall apart with, you know?”

It was surely a tough time for Danica but the speedster has discovered herself even more. Especially after her breakup with Rodgers.
