Currently, one of the best quarterbacks in the league, Patrick Mahomes, once went undercover on the internet to answer some real fan comments on YouTube, Instagram, and other social media platforms. During this interview with GQ sports, one particular fan asked a question regarding the current best player in their respective sport.

The question included Patrick Mahomes himself, LeBron James, and Mike Trout. Interestingly, Mahomes took him out of the equation, as he gave credit to both James and Trout.

In the GQ Sports interview back in 2020, Mahomes said, “Taking me out of this, first off. Both these other guys have multiple MVPs, been at the top of the sport for a long time.”

Between James and Trout, he picked the LA Lakers star as the current best player in their respective sport. “I would give it to LeBron right now, just because he has done it for longer than Mike has even though Mike has done it for a long time and is a beast on the basketball field,” Mahomes said. 

Talking about the reason for picking James, he said, “He has been at the top of the game since he has entered the league at 18. Now, 17 years in, he’s still top of the game. So I mean definitely have to give him the nod.”

 King James joined the Lakers in 2018 and won the NBA Championship with them in the second season. Moreover, he received the Finals MVP award as well. It was his fourth Finals MVP award, also his fourth NBA Championship. Meanwhile, Mike Trout has been on the top of his game since making his debut in 2011 for the LA Angels. He also won the AL MVP award three times in his career.

As for Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs drafted him back in 2017 and he became a starter in the very next season. In 2019, he became a Super Bowl Champion and won the MVP award after beating the San Francisco 49ers. Notably, Mahomes was the youngest quarterback to win the Super Bowl MVP award.

Kansas City Chiefs lost their first games of the season

Yesterday, Kansas City Chiefs lost their first game of the season against the Indianapolis Colts; the final score was 17-20. Although the game was really close, many were shocked by the result, as the Chiefs looked in great form at the start of the season.

The Chiefs started the season by demolishing Arizona Cardinals, and then they won a close game against the Los Angeles Chargers. After yesterday’s loss, they have to focus on Tom Brady‘s Bucs on next Sunday. Incidentally, Bucs also lost their winning streak against the Packers yesterday. Safe to say, the week 4 game will be vital for both teams.
