Fans of sports have their own ideas of who the greatest players are in their respective fields. And it varies from the teams they follow to the sports they have an inclination towards. When it comes to the NFL, many fans believe that Tom Brady is the undisputed GOAT of the game, just like LeBron James in the NBA. But there are fans who agree to disagree with these claims and have their own ideation of who can be considered a legend and who is just a good player. 

Recently, fans were taken by storm when a social media post compared NFL players to their likely basketball counterparts. And the comparison is truly one that was able to turn the heads of fans of both sports.

The NFL-NBA comparison 

Both football and basketball have been able to produce some of the most legendary athletes we know to date. From Tom Brady to Patrick Mahomes in the NFL, to LeBron James and Michael Jordan in the NBA, many of these talented athletes are recognized worldwide because of their impeccable dominance and skills in the field. 

And recently, an Instagram post by Sports Focus made a comparison between the similarities between a few NFL players with the NBA. The post showcased Patrick Mahomes in comparison to Stephen Curry, Tom Brady in comparison to LeBron James, and Antonio Brown to Kyrie Irving among others. The caption also questions fans, asking them, “What would you change?”

The fanbase did just that, as they took to the comment section to share their opinion on the comparison. One fan also placed the San Francisco 49ers legend Joe Montana to Michael Jordan, which riled up a heated debate online.

When a fan commented, “If lebron is Brady then Joe Montana is Michael Jordan”, this sparked a fascinating debate in the comments section.

One fan questioned the comparison, stating, “So your saying joe Montana is the goat bc he has 4 SB Brady has 7”

Another fan said, “Joe not the goat and ain’t even 2nd in the goat discussion, although I agree MJ is most the certainly the correct comparison to Brady.”

This fan hilariously said, “homie just tell us you don’t know sports bro”

Another fan agreed with the James and Brady comparison, commenting, “BRON and BRADY is too accurate. Both Greatest Of All Time In Their Sports.’

This fan disagreed with the comparison, “Nah I’m calling BS James is nothing like Brady😂”
