Well, the NFL star’s wife made sure that the Grizzlies stay in Memphis, her hometown. Thompson, while talking to the reports had said, “I am very excited to commit to joining the potential new ownership group of the Memphis Grizzlies. As a native of Memphis, it was important to me that the Grizzlies remain in Tennessee and continue to have a positive impact on the community.”

In 2012, Thompson became the minority owner of the team, as the group led by communication technology magnate Robert J. Pera agreed to buy the Grizzlies. Pera signed an agreement on June 11, 2012, with the former owner of the Grizzlies, Michael Heisley, and bought the team for $350 million.

Ashley Thompson is a successful businesswoman who also owns a real-estate development company. She also owns the PayBeck Foundation, which provides opportunities to younger men and women. Ashley Manning has a total net worth of $20 million and is a mother of two children.

Thompson and Manning were introduced by their parents, who were next-door neighbors. After being in a relationship for some time, they got married in 2001 and since have been strongly managing their career and family together.
