But did you know what Peyton Manning’s wife, Ashley Thompson, does for a living? Moreover, does she have stakes in one of the NBA teams?

Ashley Thompson was born in Memphis, and the place seems to have a special place in her heart. Thompson is one of the minority owners of the NBA team Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies have been in Memphis since it got relocated in 2001.

Thompson, while talking to the reports had said, “I am very excited to commit to joining the potential new ownership group of the Memphis Grizzlies. As a native of Memphis, it was important to me that the Grizzlies remain in Tennessee and continue to have a positive impact on the community.”

In 2012, Thompson became the minority owner of the team, as the group led by communication technology magnate Robert J. Pera agreed to buy the Grizzlies. Pera signed an agreement on June 11, 2012, with the former owner of the Grizzlies, Michael Heisley, and bought the team for $350 million.

Peyton Manning while reacting to the news back then said, “I am proud of Ashley as she pursues this opportunity with the Memphis Grizzlies. While my focus is on playing quarterback for the Denver Broncos, I look forward to watching her become involved with her hometown team.”

Ashley Thompson is a successful businesswoman who also owns a real-estate development company. She also owns the PayBeck Foundation, which provides opportunities to younger men and women. Ashley Manning has a total net worth of $20 million and is a mother of two children.
